This module has two configuration methods. 3.2 Configure CAN bus baud rate through DIP switch When the user uses the GCAN-226 module for the first time, he can first open the device shell and directly use the DIP switch inside the device to adjust the baud rate of the corresponding CAN bus. 3.3 Configure CAN bus baud rate through software GCAN-226 module can also use the USB interface to configure parameters with PC software. The USB interface of the interface card complies with the USB2.0 full-speed protocol specification and can be connected to PCs with USB1.1 standard, USB2.0 standard, and USB3.0 standard. communication. Specific configuration: Use a screwdriver to pry the green casing, take off the main body of the casing, first turn all the baud rate DIP switches of the GCAN-226 module to the digital side (default), and then directly connect the USB of the PC through the Type-C data cable interface. 3.4 Connection with CAN bus GCAN-226 series module is connected to the CAN bus by connecting CAN_H to CAN_H and CAN_L to CAN_L to establish communication. The CAN bus network adopts a linear topology. The two farthest terminals of the bus need to install 120Ω terminal resistors; if the number of nodes is greater than 2, the intermediate nodes do not need to install 120Ω terminal resistors. For branch connections, their length should not exceed 3 meters.
CAN bus terminal resistor In order to enhance the reliability of CAN communication and eliminate CAN bus terminal signal reflection interference, terminal matching resistors are usually added to the two farthest endpoints of the CAN bus network. The value of the terminal matching resistor is determined by the characteristic impedance of the transmission cable. For example, if the characteristic impedance of a twisted pair is 120Ω, the two endpoints on the bus should also integrate 120Ω terminal resistors. 3.5 System status indicator light GCAN-226 series module has 1 PWR indicator light for status, 1 SYS indicator light for indicating system power supply and system operating status, and 2 CAN indicator lights for indicating CAN bus data transmission.
